Tekya “Abramz” Abraham has the right skill set and experience. He is a skilled, dynamic and passionate creative facilitator, with over one and a half decades of professional work experience. Over the years, he has worked with children, youth and adults of different backgrounds, in various settings. He has done creative facilitation work in Uganda, Mozambique, Italy, Germany, Kenya, Austria, Swaziland, USA, Switzerland, among other countries.
Abramz has worked with schools (local and international), community centres, juvenile and adult prisons, NGOs, festivals, universities, drug rehabilitation centres, foster homes, orphanages, communications companies, government organizations/ institutions, grassroots community programs, arts organizations, commercial companies, and other kinds of partners and clients.
Creative facilitation is a highly effective multi-disciplinary approach to experiential learning and growth. It creates a suitable atmosphere for fostering and enhancing; creativity, learning, cohesion, reflection, critical thinking, interaction, imagination, exchange, practical thinking, trust building, deep listening, risk-taking, self-expression, problem-solving, teamwork, having fun, among other things.
His creative facilitation work comprises of a variety of approaches and tools such as; games, movement, sound, silence, dialogues, group discussions, writing, reading, theatre improvisation, visual art, storytelling, debrief, imagination, questions, presentations, and a lot more.
This multi-disciplinary approach enhances the scope and depth of learning as well as catering to participants with different learning styles. It also opens the doors to different ideas and ways of understanding, through exploring the same topic from the viewpoint of more than one discipline or experience. This also exposes participants to new and diverse disciplines, concepts, thoughts, perspectives, vision, avenues, and also helps them discover new interests.
In addition to conceptualizing, designing and facilitating trainings for groups and teams, Abramz also holds trainings for facilitators, teachers and team leaders.

Abramz was a keynote speaker at the 2025 AISA Global Issues Service Summit (AISA-GISS), a student-led conference held from February 13-15, 2025, at the International School of Uganda (ISU). The conference, hosted by the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) in collaboration with ISU, gathered over 200 students from across Africa with the goal of inspiring participants to make a positive impact in their communities.
The theme of the conference was “Kola Kati,” meaning “Act Now” in Luganda, emphasizing action and leadership. Tekya ‘Abramz’ Abraham spoke about his work with Breakdance Project Uganda, showcasing how hip-hop and dance can be used as tools for education, empowerment, and social change. The conference brought together lots of young changemakers who are passionate about global issues.

Creative Facilitation skills, tools and tips for teachers: Abramz holding a session with the Grade 5 teachers of The International School of Uganda (ISU), sharing practical tools and approaches to creative problem solving, community building, empowerment, collaboration, engagement, creating safety, taking risks, managing risks, motivation, conflict resolution, leadership, among other things. This was a follow up to a 6 hour participatory & experiential learning workshop that Abramz facilitated for 44 grade 5 students and their teachers. This was held in November 2023 at ISU.



FUN, CREATIVITY, GROWTH, LEADERSHIP, COMMUNITY BUILDING! Abramz facilitating a 6-hour participatory & experiential learning workshop for the International School of Uganda (ISU) Grade-5 students and their teachers. He designed and facilitated a series of sessions for 44 Grade-5 students and 7 teachers, all participating at the same level. This was held at ISU on 30th November 2023.









COHESION, FUN, TEAM BUILDING, SELF-AWARENESS: Abramz facilitating activities at the 2024 Refugee Rising staff retreat at Lake Mburo in western Uganda. Refugee Rising is a non-profit organization that empowers vulnerable refugee women.















GALLERY: Abramz facilitating a team building day for the staff of Willow International, a non-profit organization that provides holistic and restorative aftercare services to survivors of trafficking, including shelter, medical care, psychosocial support, education, job placement, and legal aid. Abramz conceptualized and facilitated this team building day on behalf of Garcias & Roca Consultants Uganda Ltd. It was held in April 2021. It consisted of group discussions, dialogue, games, community goals & agreements, reflection, theatre improvisation, and other kinds of creative challenges.

Building a strong and supportive community: Abramz facilitating team building activities for the staff of Refugee Rising (RR). This was on Day 1 of their retreat at Nile It in Jinja, Eastern Uganda in November 2022. Refugee Rising is a non-profit organization that empowers vulnerable refugee women.
